Rio 2016 weightlifting champions Kianoush Rostami of Iran and Sopita Tanasan of Thailand have been named as the Jeno Boskovics athletes of the year.
The awards, run by the International Weightlifting Federation's (IWF) magazine World Weightlifting, attracted 38,000 votes for the male and female prizes.
Rostami received a massive share of more than 20,000 votes after his Olympic gold medal performance in Rio de Janeiro in August.
The 25-year-old won the under-85 kilogram title to improve upon the silver medal he won in the same division at London 2012.
Double world champion Rostami came in front of runner-up Lasha Talakhadze of Georgia, the Rio 2016 champion at over-105kg.
